The new 2-storey high specification education facility houses 4 classrooms, a library and a Business and Enterprise Centre which is a resource used by both students and the local community. The exterior cladding is brick slip with elements of timber cladding to match existing buildings and it has a pitched roof.
The plans for the building had already been approved prior to the order being placed, therefore the Waco UK team needed to design the modules to meet the predetermined layout. As principal contractor, Waco UK provided a full turnkey package and all groundworks, mains services, manufacture, fit out, delivery and installation of the modules were completed within a 26 week timeframe, ready for the start of the new academic year.
Phase 2: 6th form block. 22 Bays, 998m2
Lab room and further classrooms, including data points for laptops. 6th form class room facility but also used for Adult Education. Needed to adhere to strict planning regulations from Local Authority who would only approve building construction if same as existing building.
