Case Studies : London Metropolitan University

Working closely with Mansell Construction Services and their award winning architects, Cartwright Pickard, Premier Interlink has provided London Metropolitan University with a PremierPlus modular building to house their Digital Manufacturing & Workspace Centre.
This 3-storey building provides a new build digital manufacturing and workspace centre for furniture/ product designers and researchers.
The centre houses state of the art digitally controlled manufacturing equipment, assembly rooms and workshop space as well as CAD offices and CAD suites for hire. The building also has a terraced social balcony area.
The building is positioned between existing traditional buildings in a courtyard in the middle of London. Built on a large steel gantry with the workshop underneath, the bay construction was built to mould around the existing buildings.
The building itself has an innovative architectural and environmental design; over clad with aluminium panels to reflect the light and a sedum (grass) roof.
Premier Interlink also worked closely with Mansell to achieve a very good BREEAM rating.
Project was handed over July 08.
