Temporary Magistrates Court, Staff offices and Custodial Suite for a three year period whilst the existing facility is demolished and rebuilt as part of a major redevelopment in the centre of Cambridge.

The client required WACO UK to be the principle contractor. The interface between the various specialist contractors, the end user, consultants, Department of Constitutional Affairs, architect and client was the key to the success. Responsibility for modifying, moving and installing existing furniture.

The building had to include: 4 Courts, Magistrates Retiring Chambers, Custody Suite, Van dock, Staff Offices, Interview Rooms and Public Areas. All of which had to achieve different levels of performance criteria. 

External scope included foundations, car park, secure fencing and gates, cycle stands, foul and surface drainage, and the provision of ducting for specialist contractors.
