BREEAM Award

Winner of the 2010 BREEAM Award Category:  PRISONS


In March 2010, Premier Interlink (Waco UK Ltd) in conjunction with Wates Construction was the winner of the 2010 BREEAM Award in the Prisons category for their houseblocks in a young offenders' institute achieving a score of 76.23%.  

The HMP house blocks and PCC Segregation unit were put forward by Inbuilt, the BREEAM Assessors for Wates Construction at Ecobuild 2010 held at Earls Court.

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings around the world.  It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building's environmental performance.
